Taiji

Taiji combines two genres. This is a mixture of a puzzle game and an adventure game. This indie project has two-dimensional graphics in the style of pixel art. The camera is located at the top and at an angle. There are a huge number of puzzles here. They consist of grids of tiles, and are built around the need to turn these squares on or off. The main feature of the title is that absolutely all puzzles use a single interface. This game design approach eliminates the need for gamers to engage in pixel hunting and think about what exactly they need to interact with next. However, the puzzles themselves try to be varied and try to challenge.

In the Tai Chi game, the user simultaneously controls two characters. Using the arrows on the keyboard, the gamer moves the heroine. And with the mouse he controls the light cursor. This spirit-like creature can interact with its surroundings. The point of the gameplay is for the girl to explore locations, and use a flying creature to remove obstacles from her path or help her overcome chasms (by activating, for example, a bridge). To get rid of any obstacle, you need to solve one or another riddle. Some of them have hints. They are well hidden in the location design. There are many areas themselves. The action takes place in a mysterious, technologically advanced and abandoned world that is divided into biomes. They all differ in mechanical and visual themes. The gameplay was loosely inspired by The Witness.
