Thriving City: Song

Thriving City: Song proposes to travel back in time to 960 AD and take on the role of mayor in the newly formed Zhao Song Dynasty. This city building simulation game in ancient China is a rich historical adventure with strategy and story elements. Your job as mayor is to help the citizens settle down, cultivate the land and expand the city. But you also need to ensure peace and prosperity for your residents by providing food and other necessities, providing relief, preventing disasters and reducing crime. You will have to make difficult decisions when crises arise. Whether it’s responding to the emperor’s national mandate, defending against enemy invasions, or resolving conflicts between factions, your strategy will determine the future of your city and forever influence the course of history. In Story Mode, you experience the rise and fall of the Song Empire first-hand as you complete quests set by imperial edicts, participate in the most important events of each dynastic period, make key decisions, and lead your city into the future.

The game is designed to the smallest detail using museum and historical records, including everything from buildings, industries, professions and clothing of the Song Dynasty. Featuring traditional Chinese style art and detailed animation of characters and buildings, you will be completely immersed in this world. Here you will be able to manage agriculture, industry, trade, education, civil affairs and politics. All of these areas are closely interconnected and require careful planning to build a thriving city with over 2,000 residents on screen at any given time. In Adventure mode, take creative liberties and create your own bustling cityscape.
