Black Mesa

Black Mesa is a remake of the cult shooter Half-Life, which at one time turned out to be a breakthrough in the world of video games and made the name of Valve. They worked on this project for eight whole years, during which the creators tried to transfer the old game to the new Source engine with varying success. As a result, they managed to achieve the desired effect and in May 2015 the game was released. Work on the remake was led by a team of developers from Crowbar Collective.

The plot, types of weapons, enemies, setting and the like – all this was lovingly transferred by the developers to the platform of the new engine, which made the visual component of a traditional shooter many times better: the graphics began to look quite at the level of the second part of this series (or even better) , the physics acquired features typical of Source, such as the realistic fall of opponents after they are incapacitated.

All this has improved the perception of the game and now, young fans of gamers have the opportunity to walk through the research station corridors long abandoned by everyone (except fans), fight with alien creatures and enjoy the gameplay for the second time. The game consists of 19 chapters. In general, the plot completely repeats that present in the original 1998 version. Some points were borrowed from the second part. Now everyone has the opportunity to touch the cult classics in a new modern shell!
