Events Cassette Beasts takes place on an island called New Wirral, inhabited by strange creatures. Their appearance seems creepy, but this is due to their nature. At one point, when a fight is brewing, they transform, taking on combat mode. The main character ended up here by accident, and now, in order to get out, he needs to use the help of his new comrades. By exploring the island and recruiting new units into his squad, he will gain strength and become a truly dangerous opponent for most hostile units.

The gameplay of Cassette Beasts is actually divided into 3 parts – communication with third-party characters, moving through locations and direct battles in a step-by-step form. Here, each unit has the opportunity to reveal its potential, using its trump cards and trying to hide its weaknesses. At the beginning, when only 1 creature is under control, this can be problematic, because the enemies are often in the majority. Therefore, it is necessary to understand as quickly as possible what each opponent is. He can rely solely on physical strength, or use magical attacks while in a static position. One way or another, each case requires a unique approach. Moreover, right in battle you can get a whole series of amplifiers that will increase the endurance and physical strength of units. Of course, this is a temporary effect, but it is enough to turn the tide of the battle. To achieve the highest potential, it is best to combine skills, and this can only be achieved by regularly participating in fights. In addition, the local world is completely open for exploration, and you can choose your own direction of movement without getting hung up on quests or current missions.
