CESSPOOL is a representative of the JRPG genre with two-dimensional pixel graphics in a retro style. The project is inspired by Japanese role-playing games from the sixteen-bit consoles of the 90s. The combat system in it is partially turn-based. The participants in the battle take turns, but the actions themselves are performed through various mini-games. To perform any attack and at the same time inflict more damage or evade an enemy strike and minimize the damage received, you need to press the right buttons at the right time. Opponents show the player their intentions, so the user here is allowed to prepare counterattacks in advance. For winning battles they give Gray Matter. It is necessary for leveling up squad members. Fighters can also be equipped with items such as gas masks and capes.

Cesspool is the name of a video game and the name of a refuge for humanity. Events take place in a post-apocalyptic and psychedelic wasteland. The plot begins with the fact that the protagonist manages to find this legendary place. When an oasis located in the middle of the desert appears on the horizon, the heroine’s monkey runs away. As a result, the girl has to put aside her goal, turn around and go in search of her pet, while simultaneously revealing the secrets of this bizarre area and gaining allies. The story lasts about 5-6 hours. The map is a small open world. All opponents are displayed in locations, so there are no random encounters.
