The game is a first-person shooter and immersive simulator. In it it is necessary to manage the disembodied ego of the protagonist. The main character can inhabit robots and objects (for example, doors or computers). He can’t really die. If the shell is destroyed, the hero simply returns to the form of the spirit and does not lose any progress. He can take control of someone again and continue exploring the map. If you wish, you can save and load saves so as not to lose the mechanical body you like and not have to look for a new one later.

There is non-linearity in CAE. The video game encourages players to experiment. Users can entertain themselves in this sandbox on their own. They are allowed to solve puzzles and overcome obstacles in different ways. The indie project allows you to place androids in different places and move between them instead of using teleports. You can also directly control the selected cyborg, sneaking past opponents or shooting at everyone. Users can even collect captured enemies to have access to a quick selection of skins. Enemies can also be disassembled for parts. Each robot can be upgraded using floppy disks, giving them additional tools and new abilities like the ability to fly.
