Escape the Backrooms

Atmospheric horror Escape the Backrooms offers cooperative gameplay for up to 4 gamers. A group of people find themselves in a huge and very strange room, from where it is not so easy to find a way out. Users are required to actively interact with each other via voice chat to coordinate actions. It is very important not to separate – you need to move in such a way that users can see each other. The environment changes regularly, and therefore, in a place where there was once an exit, there may be a solid wall.

There are only 8 levels in Escape the Backrooms and each of them is more difficult than the previous one. Locations are often decorated in oppressive yellow or gray tones. The narration is told from a first-person perspective and the protagonists film everything that happens on a video camera. Periodically, the image will deteriorate – this means that trouble is approaching and the players urgently need to change their plan and reunite.

Initially, it may seem that there is no one else here except the main characters. However, in reality, certain creatures are watching people almost non-stop and as soon as they fall on the trail, they will try to kill them. They can hear messages in voice chat, and therefore users are required to abruptly stop talking at the first danger, but this creates additional problems, because now they can easily become separated and get lost.
