Railway Empire 2 is a transportation strategy game that asks you to travel back in time to the early 19th century and lead a small railroad company that will become an economic leader thanks to steam engines. Here you will compete with competitors and build a network of railways that will connect cities and companies across the continent. Featuring 60 iconic steam engines that pull freight and passenger cars, ushering in a historically significant era from the Industrial Revolution.

The game maps in this sequel are larger, more detailed, and more vibrant than ever. You’ll be able to travel throughout the US and continental Europe on two huge maps, with more detailed maps focusing on specific regions. Improved routing and new features will help you make important decisions and help drive economic development and city growth. Semaphores are automatically set, bridges can accommodate up to 4 tracks, and extended train stations can accommodate up to 8 tracks. Choose a manager for your railway company from 6 characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Complete 5 campaigns or any of 14 different scenarios. You can set your difficulty level in the fully customizable Free Mode, or build the perfect railway network in Construction Mode. Take on your railroad empire’s competitors with your friends in online co-op. You can also board one of their trains, sit back and enjoy the beautiful scenery while the iron horse races along the rails.
