Riviera: The Promised Land

Riviera: The Promised Land – this is not an ordinary role-playing adventure game. Of course, you have the fantasy kingdom of Elendia, the demon-fighting hero Ein, and a whole galaxy of colorful companions. But this gem adds dating sim elements to the game. Ein is no ordinary hero. As the Grim Angel, he is charged with defeating demons and rival Grim Angels, ultimately seeking to seal away the Damned, a group of vile entities that threaten the world of Elendia. But Ein does not go alone.

He is joined by four heroines – Fia, Lina, Serena and Sierra, each with their own characters and stories. This is where things get interesting. The choices you make throughout the game affect your relationships with these heroines, potentially leading to multiple endings. So what will win – love or cold, hard demon-slaying skill? Well, that’s up to you. The gameplay itself in Riviera: The Promised Land is turn-based, but with a strategic twist.

Think chess, but with anime swords and magic spells. You’ll explore Elendia over nine stages in each chapter, each filled with events, battles, and, of course, the constant chance to conquer your companions. Each stage presents you with its own challenges, culminating in a boss fight that will test your strength. But here’s the catch – unlike most RPGs, movement outside of combat is somewhat limited in Ein. Triggers drive exploration, adding intrigue to uncovering Elendia’s secrets.
