This project can be played without a VR device. Vox Machinae is reminiscent of the MechWarrior games. This is a multiplayer robot battle simulator with sophisticated physics and an emphasis on tactics. There are 5 furs to choose from. They can be equipped with various weapons: rocket launchers, railguns, machine guns and other guns. The cockpits are made in detail. To control a vehicle, you need to manually press various switches, pull levers, and turn the ignition keys. Matches support up to 16 participants. You can arrange fights with live players and with bots. During fights, mechanical limbs are allowed to shoot enemies.
The following modes are available for entertainment:
- Deathmatch is a classic battle to the death, where it’s every man for himself;
- Bot Stomp – a group of four users shoots waves of enemies under AI control, periodically fighting elite mobs;
- Hover Brawl is a sports discipline where two teams try to drive a ball to their base;
- Convoy – users accompany a convoy of trucks with valuable cargo and protect them from computer-controlled opponents;
- Stockpile – both sides fight for control of objects (captured points award points and give bonuses to their owners, such as accelerated rebirth in case of death);
- Salvage – two squads of players are trying to capture a machine called Decker in order to increase their score with it.
