Tribal Hunter

Tribal Hunter is a side-scrolling action/platformer hybrid with Metroidvania elements. The graphics in this project are made in the style of pixel art. The user controls a creature that looks like a mixture of a human and a lizard, named Munch. This is the name of the legendary guardian spirit. He is summoned by a tribe of natives to escape the invasion of Lord Darkred’s army, consisting of pirate fish and pigs. The hero can move left and right, jump, chat with NPCs, punch opponents, and use different skills. He is also capable of eating his enemies. Devouring enemies not only fills the satiety bar (this is something like a magic meter), but also allows the protagonist to grow physically. Growth has its pros and cons. The larger the warrior, the more powerful attacks he carries out. However, it is much easier for his opponents to hit him.

The events shown in the game Tribal Hunter take place on a mystical island, the secret of which is to be revealed to gamers. The map is divided into 9 zones. Each of them offers you to fight a unique boss at the end. All leaders require a special approach, and some of them can only be defeated in non-standard ways. There is also a village here. As you progress, the main character saves various NPCs and develops this hub location. In the settlement you can buy upgrades and useful items, as well as change or color your clothes. While exploring locations, the spirit finds new abilities that help it get into hard-to-reach places. This could be a hit on the ground, the ability to bounce off walls and other skills.
